The Pawnee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO), by virtue of a contractual agreement with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), is authorized to interview and counsel individuals with potential employment discrimination charges. The TERO employees address draft charges of alleged violations of Title VII, file Tribal Employment Rights Office. The Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) was created to effectively administer the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance with the purpose of creating employment and training opportunities and working to eradicate discrimination against Lummi Tribal Members. The TERO office is governed directly by the TERO Commission DOL’s Civil Rights Center (CRC) enforces the employment-related provisions of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504). Section 504 prohibits recipients of federal financial assistance from discriminating against qualified individuals with disabilities in employment and in their programs and activities.
